BREVARD COVID-19 UPDATE – July 9: Space Coast Reports 2,985 Coronavirus Cases, 26 Deaths in 2020

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 2,985 cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Health.
According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 37 years of age, and 48 percent are male and 52 percent are female.
The current Brevard list includes 2,968 Florida residents and 17 non-residents.
Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 160. A total of 26 deaths have been reported in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County.
The Florida Department of Health reports 55,749 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Thursday’s report, 52,754 of those tests have come back negative.
The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 232,718 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state out of 2,359,636 tests done statewide with 17,167 hospitalized.
Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 4,009 as of Thursday.
In the U.S., over 3,088,913 million confirmed cases have been reported and 132,934 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 12,128,406 with 551,522 global deaths.
