BREVARD COUNTY • SCOTTSMOOR, FLORIDA – Officials in Brevard County have completely shutdown I-95 near Scottsmoor after a semi-trailer carrying non-hazardous materials flipped on its side and caught fire Tuesday night.

The incident happened when the semi-trailer and a pickup truck hauling a car carrier crashed around 7:45 p.m. near mile marker 228 and the I-95/ Aurantia Rd. overpass.

Miraculously, nobody was injured in the crash, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.

Officials are rerouting traffic on I-95 in North Brevard. Motorists should try to find an alternate route to avoid further delays.
