Planet Fitness Will Require Members to Wear Face Masks At All Clubs, Beginning August 1

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Planet Fitness will now require all of their members to wear face masks when they enter one of the 1,432 stores in the United States beginning August 1.
In a email sent out to all 10.5 million Planet Fitness members, “effective August 1, all Planet Fitness members & guests will be required to wear a mask inside our clubs, at all times. Wearing a mask in public is proven to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and we’re committed to doing everything in our power to ensure that you can gym safely and confidently. Thanks in advance for your support and adherence to this policy.
In a statement, Planet Fitness mentioned that working out in a mask may not be ideal for some members.
“We understand that wearing a mask while working out may be new for you, but we’re here to help you every step of the way.”
Planet Fitness says those who may have medical conditions or refuse to wear a mask will have the option to freeze their account until the mask policy is no longer required.
