14-year-old girl was struck by a boat while swimming just offshore, taken to hospital

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials announced they have identified a suspect in a boating hit-and-run incident off Shepard Park on Friday afternoon.

FWC investigators have not yet released the identity of this suspect.

The incident happened just after 12 noon when a 14-year-old girl was struck by a boat while swimming just offshore.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital where her condition has not been reported.
