BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As voters begin to make their voices heard with early voting now in full swing, Marie Rogerson and Aleks Bologna visited the Space Coast Daily TV Studios in Merritt Island on Monday to discuss their run for Republican State Committeewoman and Republican State Committeeman.

As staunch supporters of President Trump, Rogerson mentioned she has hopes for the Republican Party this election season.

“The only thing in Brevard I want to see turn blue is our lagoon,” said Rogerson.

“We need an effective and efficient party apparatus to ensure our county and state stay red.”

Bologna echoed those statements by Rogerson and feels he will bring strong Conservative leadership to Brevard County.

“This is an exciting time as we look to bring about a fresh, bold and ambitious future to the Republican Party of Brevard,” said Bologna, a 20-year Brevard resident and native Floridian.

“By having elected leaders who believe in free-market values, the Space Coast has seen an unprecedented period of growth and prosperity.”

Marie Rogerson

Marie and her husband of almost 14 years, Aaron, have served as foster parents by welcoming 13 children into their home in less than a year. It was that experience that led to her becoming Director of Operations for Foster Florida, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the vulnerable and supporting foster families throughout the state.

Marie is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Idaho and studied political science and international relations with an emphasis on Latin American history.

Her love of Latin America stems from having served an 18-month Spanish speaking mission for her church as well as completing a study abroad through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Belize.

She is a cancer survivor and mother to three beautiful girls. Marie and her husband of almost 14 years, Aaron, served as foster parents welcoming 13 children into their home in less than a year. It was that experience that led to her becoming Director of Operations for Foster Florida, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the vulnerable and supporting foster families throughout the state. It is their mission to see that every foster child has a safe place to heal from the trauma they have endured.

Marie is a lifelong conservative Republican. She credits her father’s School Board run, when she was a child, for igniting her interest in politics. She has volunteered for, worked on, and managed several campaigns and estimates she has knocked nearly 10,000 doors over the years.

She believes that what makes America great is her goodness. That goodness should be maintained by holding firmly to the founding principles of our Constitution and by serving the God who inspired it.

As Committeewoman, she says she will add value to the strong party foundation in Brevard County by striving to:

1) EMPOWER current active Republicans.
Effective party members are confident communicators, relationship builders, and change-makers. Quality training will empower our members to be just that. Knowledge and skills gained can be honed through meaningful opportunities to put them into practice.

2) ENGAGE with our broader community.
We are most effective when we meet people where they are. We must be a consistent presence for good in our community. Brevard deserves to see the Republican party as an active community member, not simply as a letter by a name on a ballot.

3) ENCOURAGE growth.
With the core values central to our freedom eroding around us at a startling pace, we cannot afford to cede ground. Instead, we must make every effort to gain it and quickly! We must make particular efforts to encourage our youth to embrace conservative principles so that they do not succumb to the deceptions of socialism.
