BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier today, I was honored to attend and speak at the “Welcome Home” celebration for Veteran Lisa Stinson and Karla Griggs who received the keys to their new homes as part of the “Women Veteran’s Village” provided by Habitat for Humanity and the many sponsors who made the project a success.
The homes were built by volunteers at Diamond Square in Cocoa on the site of a former trailer park that has been refurbished to accommodate the construction of new homes for female veterans who at one time were homeless.
Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, their volunteer force, and numerous sponsors constructed the beautiful homes in the “Women Veteran’s Village” to help these incredible veterans who proudly served our country.
Please join me in congratulating Lisa and Karla for their new homes and in thanking them for their incredible service to our country!
Also in thanking Habitat For Humanity, their volunteers and of course the sponsors who helped make the project possible!
