ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Incoming UCF freshman Egor Eroshenko gave a preview of what he is capable of on the golf course over the weekend as he took first place at the Russian Open, shooting 288(E) in four rounds of play to claim the top spot.

The event, which took place from Wednesday, August 5 through Saturday, August 8 was played at the Links National Golf Club in Teleshovo, Moscow Oblast, Russia.

Eroshenko began the event with a par performance in the first round before shooting a combined four under par in the middle rounds. Despite a +4 final round of play, Eroshenko secured the victory.

Hailing from Russia himself, Eroshenko’s resume boasts several national and international achievements. In 2018, he was the Zavidovo Juniors International Champion, the US Kids – Venice Open Champion and the Russian Junior Boys Champion.

To add to that, in 2019, Eroshenko won the Evolve Spanish Junior Championship, the Russian Amateur Championship and was the co-medalist at the European Boys Team Championship held in Wroclaw, Poland.

Eroshenko signed his National Letter of Intent to play golf at UCF back in February.
