After retiring from Northrop Grumman, Claire spent retirement with her loving husband

Claire Wegelin; beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at home in Rockledge, Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – Claire Wegelin; beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at home in Rockledge, Florida.

Claire, born to Salvatore and Marie (DeLorenzo) Ferretti, was raised in Milford, Connecticut. Shortly after graduating Milford High School, Claire relocated to Florida and has called it her home for 48 years.

Claire spent her early years raising her two daughters Dawn and Tracy, whom she loved dearly, and made a career out of selling Tupperware (a lot of Tupperware), in fact, she is still known as the Tupperware lady.

Once her daughters were grown, she made a career move and joined McDonnell Douglas in Titusville, Florida and became a Small Business Administrator. Her career then took her to Gulfstream Aerospace in Savanah, Georgia, and then back to Melbourne, Florida to Northrop Grumman.

After retiring from Northrop Grumman, Claire spent retirement with her loving husband, Bud, enjoying life to the fullest. She loved visiting her grandchildren in Ohio and Georgia and playing Bingo.

Throughout her life, Claire devoted herself to her family, showering them with love and care. She never met a stranger. She was cherished by family and many friends alike. She will be forever missed and always shine brightly in our hearts.

Claire is survived by her husband of 23 years W. W. “Bud” Wegelin; her children; Dawn Eplin; Tracy Butts and spouse Steven Butts; grandchildren; Brandon Eplin, Devin Eplin, Lindsay Butts, Lauren Butts and Logan Butts; step-daughter Courtney Wegelin; her sister JoAnn Katrick and spouse Donald Katrick; her brother Donald Ferretti and Spouse Debbie Ferretti; and many nieces and nephews.

Claire was preceded in death by her parents Salvatore Ferretti, Marie (DeLorenzo) Ferretti; and son-in-law Jeffery Eplin.

There are no services planned. Please raise a glass of your favorite drink in her memory and toast to her life, very well lived!
