HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE: Category 1 Hurricane Isaias Moves Through Northern Bahamas, Set to Approach Southeast Florida Tonight. Space Coast Daily’s Zach Reports For Saturday 11 a.m. Update.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – President Donald Trump approved Gov. Ron DeSantis’ request for pre-landfall emergency declaration for counties that will be impacted by Hurricane Isaias.

The declaration assures state and local officials will have the support of federal government resources if the impacted areas need it in Florida.

Brevard County is among the counties included in the declaration.

Category 1 Hurricane Isaias is expected to impact Brevard County on Sunday. The strongest area of the storm is forecasted to hit Brevard tomorrow night around 8 p.m.

Isaias is currently carrying 75 mph max sustained winds as it continues to move northwest at 12 mph through the Bahamas on Saturday, according to the National Hurricane Center’s 2 p.m. update.

It is expected the system will impact southeast Florida tonight.
