FINE: I’m not going to lie — I’m pretty scared

State Rep. Randy Fine announced on Sunday that he has been admitted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne due to COVID-19 symptoms.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – State Rep. Randy Fine announced on Sunday that he has been admitted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne for COVID-19.

Fine said his symptoms began over the last few days with deep chest coughs that resulted in near debilitating body spasms.

After a couple of days, his wife drove him to the hospital to get an X-ray.

Fine mentioned over his social media page that the results of his X-ray on Sunday showed he ‘had some pretty serious damage’ to his lungs and his blood oxygen test showed a lower level than normal on the pulse oximeter.

“I’m not going to lie — I’m pretty scared,”said Rep. Fine.

“I didn’t even see the boys before I left because I figured I’d be back in a couple hours.”

Fine, 46, made it clear that he does not need supplemental oxygen or a ventilator right now.

The Republican representative mentions his odds for recovery are ‘pretty good’, according to the doctors.

The State Representative from District 53 was diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 20.

“I don’t normally ask people to pray for me, but I’m going to make an exception this time. And please include my family in it, as they need me. I have so much left to teach the boys,” Fine added.

Fine is currently seeking re-election for Florida State Representative (District 53) in 2020, but he must defeat his primary opponent on August 18 to defend his seat as a State Representative.
