BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old, Michael Gorycki of Titusville after he traveled to a location in Brevard County expecting to meet the parent of a child for the purposes of having sex with the parent’s child.

Much to his surprise, who Gorycki actually met with were Agents of our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit and were waiting to arrest him for Charged and Violation of Community Control.

The investigation began after Gorycki communicated with an agent from the Sheriff’s Office, acting in an undercover capacity.

Gorycki engaged in an online conversation about incest and even went as far as to express an interest to be involved in an incestuous relationship. Gorycki then discussed the desire to sexually exploit the child by having sexual intercourse with the undercover agent’s child.

Gorycki described in great detail the activities he wanted to engage in sexually with the child. Gorycki later made arrangements to meet the undercover agent for the purpose of having sexual relations with the child and upon arrival at the prearranged location, was taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Gorycki was charged with Violation of Community Control after it was learned that he is currently under the supervision of Probation and Parole following his release from prison on June 12, 2020, after serving eleven months for Aggravated Assault.

Gorycki is identified as a career criminal offender due to his previous criminal convictions.

Subsequent to his arrest Gorycki was transported to the Brevard County Jail where he is being held on a “No Bond” status.

Please join me in thanking everyone who was involved in the arrest of this career offender as he is now exactly where he belongs, behind bars at the Brevard County Jail where he can no longer harm a child or victimize our community!
