Tropical Depression 13 Forecasted to Hit Florida as Hurricane Early Next Week: NHC Report

National Hurricane Center is forecasting Tropical Depression 13 to become a hurricane when it impacts South Florida on Monday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center is forecasting Tropical Depression 13 to become a hurricane when it impacts South Florida on Monday.

The system could become a tropical storm as early as Thursday night or Friday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center.

As of Thursday night, Brevard County is not expected to take a direct hit, but could still feel the impact of the projected hurricane by late Monday.

The middle portion of the system has the storm directly hitting Miami and moving across South Florida, continuing through the Gulf where it would impact the Florida Panhandle by late Tuesday afternoon.

Tropical Depression 13 is moving to the west-northwest at 21 mph and carrying 35 mph max sustained winds.
