OCALA, FLORIDA – A new and unique attraction is now in Ocala, Florida. If you are looking for a new and fresh way to get out of the house the Firehouse Urban Axe Throwing may be what you are looking for.

This small business specializes in axe throwing which is a modern sport that dates back to 2006 where competitors throw an axe at a target, attempting to hit the bulls-eye as close as possible.

Due to COVID-19 forcing the closure of many businesses, Owner Lonnie and General Manager Morgan also a father-son duo, discussed the status of their business during the closure.

“We were fortunate enough to have our employee staff… one of them as my son and then some of the other ones were people where this wasn’t their only job so we could still keep them afloat,” said Lonnie.

To ensure everyone’s safety, the attraction is abiding by all CDC guidelines and all participants will conduct a safety session before throwing any equipment.

Guests can not only throw axes but also knives, spinners, and more.
