Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to the Country Club Apartments, located on N. Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island for a pediatric drowning on Friday evening. According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the victim was about 3 years old and was treated on scene by paramedics before being flown to Arnold Palmer by Health First First Flight for further care and evaluation. BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to the Country Club Apartments, located on N. Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island for a pediatric near-drowning on Friday evening.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, the victim was approximately 3 years old and was treated on scene by paramedics before being flown to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children by Health First First Flight for further care and evaluation.

The circumstances of the incident or the condition of the victim has not yet been released.
