Cocoa Beach Police Seek Information Concerning Fatal Pedestrian Crash Sunday Night on State Road 520

A 37-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday evening at about 10 p.m., just west of Cape Canaveral Hospital on State Road 520. According to Cocoa Beach Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Manny Hernandez, the alleged vehicle was a blue 2011 Volkswagen 4-door that was traveling westbound on State Road 520 at the time of the incident.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A 37-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday evening at about 10 p.m., just west of Cape Canaveral Hospital on State Road 520.

According to Cocoa Beach Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Manny Hernandez, the alleged vehicle was a blue 2011 Volkswagen 4-door that was traveling westbound on State Road 520 at the time of the incident.

Sgt. Hernandez said the driver of the Volkswagen is believed to have exited the hospital parking lot and pulled out onto State Road 520 when the impact occurred.

“Identities of the involved parties have been withheld pending further investigation and notification to the decedent’s next of kin,” said Sgt. Hernandez.
