Cocoa Police Provides Update on Upcoming Road Closures and Bright-Line Rail Construction

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department provided an update on upcoming traffic advisory and bright-line rail construction.

Traffic Advisory/Brightline Rail Construction:

■ Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 (milepost 34-40) Day-time single lane closure, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday, September 30.

■ Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 (milepost 42-44) Day-time shoulder closure, 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Wednesday, September 30.

■ Eastbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 (milepost 32-36) Day-time and night-time single lane closure through Wednesday, September 30.

■ 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Thursday

■ 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday

■ 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday through Sunday

Beachline Expressway/SR 528 and Interstate 95 (I-95)

■ Southbound I-95 at the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 Interchange (Exit 205)

■ Day-time single lane closure, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Wednesday, September 30.

■ Northbound and southbound I-95 at the Beachline Expressway/SR 528 Interchange (Exit 205)

■ Day-time single lane closure, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Wednesday, September 30.

Clearlake Rd./Industry Rd.

■ Westbound Beachline Expressway/SR 528 off-ramp to Industry Rd. (Exit 45-B)

■ Night-time full lane closure, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Wednesday night, September 23 through Thursday morning, September 24. Closure is necessary to shift traffic to a new ramp alignment.

Detour Information

■  Westbound SR 528 wishing to access Industry Rd. will be directed to exit early at US-1 (Exit 46), travel north on US-1 to Cidco Rd., travel west on Cidco Rd. to Industry Rd. and travel south on Industry Rd. to access westbound SR 528.
