Health First’s Virtual Care Medical Director to hosting live virtual discussion via Webex

Sure, COVID-19 has our attention. While we continue our efforts to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones against it, it’s important we’re all mindful it’s not the only virus out there that can sicken us. That’s why it’s especially important to get a flu shot as we enter the fall and winter.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sure, COVID-19 has our attention. While we continue our efforts to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones against it, it’s important we’re all mindful it’s not the only virus out there that can sicken us.

That’s why it’s especially important to get a flu shot as we enter the fall and winter.

“We all have to continue practicing our efforts to protect ourselves against COVID-19 – social distancing, mask-wearing and frequent hand-washing and sanitizing,” said Dr. Timothy Laird, Associate Chief Medical Officer with Health First Medical Group.

“While we don’t have a vaccine for COVID-19, we do have one for another threat out there – influenza. It’s important to protect yourself and your loved ones from what we can.”

Health First wants to make sure you know how to protect yourself from as much as you can during these uncertain times. That’s why Dr. Laird, along with Dr. Jayde George, Health First’s Virtual Care Medical Director, will be hosting a live virtual discussion via the online platform Webex on Monday, September 28, at 5:30 p.m.

The public is invited to register for and participate in this important discussion.

These two physicians will discuss the importance of getting the flu vaccine during a public health crisis, dispel myths, and deliver the facts about keeping yourself and your family safe. They’ll also address the benefits of Virtual Visits in a COVID-19 world.
