MOUNT CARMEL, FLORIDA – A magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported Thursday morning near the Florida-Alabama line.

Data by the U.S. Geological Survey shows the small earthquake struck right after 10 a.m. near Mount Carmel, along the Florida panhandle.

U.S. Geological Survey says the earthquake was recorded around a depth of about 2½ miles.
