Melbourne Police, Brevard County Sheriff’s Agents Bust Three During Drug Raid on Van Buren Street

primarily focused on sale of Fentanyl and Heroin

The Melbourne Police Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the MPD SWAT Team, officers from the Patrol Division and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SIU, conducted a search warrant operation Thursday at 790 Van Buren Street in North Melbourne.

Detectives seized 14 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of Heroin, 21.8 grams of Fentanyl, and 2 MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets, 2.1 grams of an unknown substance (awaiting laboratory examination), along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the MPD SWAT Team, officers from the Patrol Division and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SIU, conducted a search warrant operation Thursday at 790 Van Buren Street in North Melbourne.

The four-month investigation was a combined effort with both the Melbourne Police Department and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and primarily focused on the sale of Fentanyl and Heroin.

“Detectives seized 14 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of Heroin, 21.8 grams of Fentanyl, and 2 MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets, 2.1 grams of an unknown substance (awaiting laboratory examination), along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia,” said a Melbourne police spokesperson.

Three suspects were arrested on various drug charges and active warrants:
