Miami Hurricanes Climb to No. 17 in AP Poll, No. 18 in Coaches Poll

MIAMI, FLORIDA (Miami Hurricanes) – Following a 31-14 win over UAB in its season opener, the Miami Hurricanes made their season debut in the first in-season polls of 2020 on Sunday.

Buoyed by 337 rushing yards against the Blazers – the second-most by a Miami team against an FBS opponent since joining the ACC – the Hurricanes checked in at No. 17 in the Associated Press top 25 and No. 18 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

The Hurricanes’ appearance in the coaches poll is their first since Oct. 21, 2018, while Miami’s appearance in the AP top 25 is its first since Oct. 7, 2018.

Miami (1-0) opens its ACC slate on Sat., Sept. 19 on the road at Louisville (1-0). Kickoff from Cardinal Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
