Titusville Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspect Who Fired Shot During Heist at Dollar Tree on Cheney Highway

POLICE: PERP struck the clerk with the handgun

Titusville Police detectives are searching for a man suspected in the attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery of a store clerk at the Dollar Tree, located at 621 Cheney Highway, which occurred on Saturday, September 12 at approximately 5:15 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police detectives are searching for a man suspected in the attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery of a store clerk at the Dollar Tree, located at 621 Cheney Highway, which occurred on Saturday, September 12 at approximately 5:15 p.m.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect, described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5-feet-10-inched tall with shoulder-length dread style brown hair and wearing a face covering, entered the store, followed the clerk into the business office and demanded the clerk open the safe at gunpoint,” said Titusville Police spokesperson Amy Matthews.

“The suspect then fired a bullet into the floor, struck the clerk with the handgun and fled the scene in a white sedan south on Sisson Road.”

The store clerk was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and there were no other injuries.

An investigation is underway and detectives are working strong leads in this case.
