Titusville Police Special Investigations Section Bust Two for Running Illegal Drugs from Their Residence

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – According to Amy Matthews, Titusville Police Department Public Information Officer, the Titusville Police Department Special Investigations Section executed a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of South Brown Avenue on Monday, seizing 20 grams of cocaine, nearly $3,000, a firearm and made two arrests.

Chuckie Lee Montgomery, 51, of Titusville, a felon with prior drug convictions, was charged with:

■ 2 Counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell
■ Selling Cocaine within 1,000 feet of Public Housing

Gerald Wilson, 48, of Titusville, was charged with:

■ 1 Count of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell
■ Selling Cocaine within 1,000 feet of Public Housing

Montgomery and Wilson were taken into custody without incident at the residence, where they were running the illegal drug operation, and booked into the Brevard County Jail.

“The seized illegal drug sale proceeds will be submitted to a civil forfeiture hearing,” said Matthews.

“Per the hearing’s outcome, the funds will be deposited into the State of Florida Forfeiture Fund, which allows Florida Law Enforcement agencies to use these funds for new crime prevention initiatives.”

The SIS unit, comprised of highly trained detectives, will continue undercover narcotics investigations as part of their commitment to target and stop those individuals selling deadly narcotics within our city.
