Tropical Storm Rene, Tropical Storm Paulette Add to Busy Atlantic Hurricane Season

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane is now monitoring two tropical storms in the Atlantic, adding to what has been a very active hurricane season.

Tropical Storm Rene formed Monday night near the Cabo Verde Island, located just off the coast of Africa.

In addition to Rene, Tropical Storm Paulette is continuing to turn in the Atlantic a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands.

Rene is currently moving to the west-northwest at 12 mph and carrying 40 max sustained winds.

Paulette is currently moving to the northwest at 3 mph and carrying 40 max sustained winds.

Both systems are not expected to impact Brevard County or the east coast of Florida.
