BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On Friday, there has been a water main break on Lake Washington Road that is causing a drop in water pressure throughout the Melbourne water distribution system and the City of Melbourne said Saturday afternoon it has become necessary to close additional valves in order to isolate and repair the water main break at 5365 Lake Washington Road.

“We do not know at this time how long this needed step in the repair process will take,” said the City of Melbourne Public Works and Utilities Department.

Some residences and businesses may be experiencing low water pressure. Crews are responding and are working to isolate the break. More information will be provided as soon as an update is available.
