FRIDAY’S FORECAST: The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecast on Friday calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m., mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Light and variable winds will become east 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon and the heat index values could reach as high as 102.  On Friday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low around 77. Southeast wind around 5 mph.05.
