Astronaut War Eagles Battle Holy Trinity Tigers for Key Division 2 Game in Prep Football on SCD TV

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Astronaut War Eagles will look to stay undefeated Friday night when they visit the Holy Trinity Tigers at Catherine A. Ford field in Melbourne on Space Coast Daily TV.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with Zach Clark providing play-by-play commentary on Space Coast Daily TV.
Astronaut (3-0) enters Friday night with an unblemished record and lopsided wins in recent weeks, but will face a talented Holy Trinity (1-2) team that is coming off a blowout 63-33 loss against Satellite last week.
The War Eagles defeated their rival Titusville last week in a decisive 38-6 win behind a remarkable performance by running back Abreon Torres’ 288 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Torres leads the War Eagles 714 total rushing yards and 11 touchdown on the 2020 season.
Meanwhile, the Holy Trinity Tigers offense is led by an air raid offense by committee that features 2021 Georgia Tech commit wide receiver James Blackstrain, coveted 2022 quarterback recruit Davin Wydner, senior wideout Carlos Estronza and freshman standout wideout Day Day Farmer.
Wydner leads the Tigers in passing with a 68-percent completion percentage and has thrown for over 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns through three games. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound junior is currently carrying a 118.00 QB rating heading into Friday night.
Tonight’s matchup is crucial for Holy Trinity should they hope to still win Division 2 in Brevard County. A third straight loss by the Tigers would essentially eliminate their chances for a Division 2 title.
On the other-hand, the War Eagles control their own destiny for a Division 2 title. A win tonight would keep them in the driver’s seat of Division 2, along with Merritt Island (3-0) and Satellite (3-0), who will all face each other in the next couple of weeks.
Next week, Astronaut visits MCC (2-1), while Holy Trinity will host Titusville (0-3).
