BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Officer Ball and the Palm Bay Police Department Breast Cancer Awareness car recently attended ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Brevard County’s Pink Parking Lot’ party to help raise awareness and celebrate survivors.

The celebration took place at The Avenues in Viera.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease.

Breast cancer death rates declined 40 percent from 1989 to 2016 among women.

The progress is attributed to improvements in early detection.
