STATE COLLEGE, PENNSYLVANIA (24/7 Sports)– Penn State freshman running back Caziah Holmes knew he was stepping into big shoes when taking over the No. 26 once worn by Saquon Barkley.
It hasn’t taken him long to flash glimpses of the former All-American and No. 2 overall pick in 2018.
In fact, the program released footage of Holmes doing his own version of Barkley’s now-infamous run during his own freshman year in the team’s Lions’ Den drill.
In the short video, Holmes took a handoff from quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson behind a three-man front line and scooted off the right side before hurdling a defender and finishing off the run.
