BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – On Thanksgiving morning, our agency members played in the 8th Annual “Turkey Bowl” Flag Football Game that pits members of our Command Team against members of the Sheriff’s Office from various units throughout our agency.

The annual event is not only an opportunity for our team to enjoy some friendly competition but is also a time of fellowship with our BCSO Family.

While everyone certainly plays with a competitive spirit, we all realize just how truly blessed we are to be part of our agency and to work in Brevard County where our citizens love us.

While it was a fun and high scoring game, in the end, the Command Team “All-Stars” opened up a significant lead, winning the game 66–40.

Sadly though, the players on the winning team who handed their boss a “Thanksgiving Day Whooping” and ruined my appetite will never get promoted again, but “hey” at least they got to take home the coveted “BCSO 8th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Bowl Trophy!”

On a serious note, I would like to personally thank everyone who played in today’s game as well as those who came out to cheer on their team. The men and women of this agency amaze me each and every day with their dedication and commitment to protecting our citizens and for all they do to make our agency shine.
