Solaris HealthCare Merritt Island has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with a coveted five-star rating.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Bonita Springs-based Solaris HealthCare has named Greg Hovey Administrator of Solaris HealthCare Merritt Island.

Solaris HealthCare currently operates 19 skilled nursing and assisted living communities throughout Florida, including the 180-bed skilled nursing facility on Crockett Boulevard.

INDUSTRY VETERAN

Hovey is an industry veteran with 13 years’ experience in healthcare management. He earned his MBA at Rollins College and his BA at the University of Central Florida.  Most recently, he served as Administrator at Solaris HealthCare’s Palatka, Florida skilled nursing facility.

“I have a passion to serve others in the skilled nursing setting.  I view my work as a true calling to serve our patients, their loved ones, and our team members on Merritt Island,” said Hovey.

He succeeds Shawn Corley, who was recently appointed Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Solaris HealthCare Properties and continues as Administrator of Solaris Senior Living Merritt Island.

Solaris HealthCare Merritt Island has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) with a coveted five-star rating.

Nursing homes are rated from 1 to 5 stars based on health inspections, staffing, and quality measures.  Skilled nursing communities with five stars are considered to have “much above average” quality.
