Jags fall to 1-10 on the season

JACKSONVILLE – Mike Glennon let it rip – and that was almost enough. But the Cleveland Browns did what they have done all season, and that ruined Glennon’s story – and the Jaguars’ day.
Glennon, the Jaguars’ third starting quarterback in five games, threw two touchdown passes and gave the Jaguars a third-quarter lead – but a strong running attack helped the Browns control much of the second half en route to a 27-25 victory in front of 15,926 at TIAA Bank Field Sunday.
“We just fell short,” Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone said.
Glennon, the Jaguars’ backup in the first 10 games of the season, drove the Jaguars late – a drive capped by rookie running back James Robinson’s four-yard touchdown run. That made it 27-25 with 2:14 remaining, but Glennon’s two-point pass was incomplete.
“It felt good to be out there again, good to be competing on the biggest stage in the NFL,” Glennon said. “Overall, I felt good, I didn’t feel rusty. I felt like I was seeing it well, throwing it well, getting the ball out on time, felt in control and in command.’
