Edmond thanked his supporters Tuesday night.

“Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to strive for public office and so very proud of the progress that we made in just five short months,” said Edmond.

“Being outspent by a three to one margin, many expected that we would gain fewer than the 30% that my opponent’s camp predicted. Special thanks to my advisory team and every single volunteer that gave of themselves in hopes of gaining leadership that embraces transparency, civility, community and accountability.

“I’m proud to have run a clean race that centered around the issues in the face of smear campaigns. I’m proud to have earned nearly 118,000 votes as a first time candidate for office in a county that is overwhelmingly red. This is not the end, I will continue to serve as I have always done to make my community better and safer for all.”
