BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A shooting occurred near the 900 block of Peachtree street shortly after 11 a.m. on Election Day that sent two victims to the hospital.

“Detectives are currently investigating a shooting in which two victims were wounded,” said Cocoa Police spokesperson Yvonne Martinez.

“Both victims were airlifted to the hospital as a precaution. The wounds do not appear to be life-threatening.”

According to Martinez, the investigation is still active and detectives are interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence and attempting to identify potential suspects.
