Shooting Near Peachtree Street in Cocoa Results in Two Victims Being Airlifted, Investigation is Ongoing

A shooting occurred near the 900 block of Peachtree street shortly after 11 a.m. on Election Day that sent two victims to the hospital. Anyone with information is asked to call the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS or send a text or email to dropadime@cocoapolice.com.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A shooting occurred near the 900 block of Peachtree street shortly after 11 a.m. on Election Day that sent two victims to the hospital.

“Detectives are currently investigating a shooting in which two victims were wounded,” said Cocoa Police spokesperson Yvonne Martinez.

“Both victims were airlifted to the hospital as a precaution. The wounds do not appear to be life-threatening.”

According to Martinez, the investigation is still active and detectives are interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence and attempting to identify potential suspects.
