SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received a very generous donation from our citizens to help support the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office K-9 heroes.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received a very generous donation from our citizens to help support the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office K-9 heroes.

The donation, that was spearheaded by Linda Hagen a local resident and huge supporter of our team, occurred after Linda contacted our agency and offered to start a GoFundMe page to purchase new K-9 kennels and supplies for our Cape Canaveral and Port Canaveral Precinct.

Linda is a local Cape Canaveral resident who partnered with the owners of Ace Hardware in Cape Canaveral, Mark and Charity Lopeman and the owners of Southern Charm Cafe, Jeff and Betty Sirmans to raffle off a Yeti cooler in hopes to raise more funds.

Ace Hardware donated the Yeti cooler while members of the community donated assorted contents to be raffled off. Raffle tickets were then sold at Southern Charm Cafe with a total of $4,000 being raised between the raffle and GoFundMe page.

The donation that will be used to enhance our K-9 kennels and purchase training aids for our K-9 teams in Cape Canaveral and Port Canaveral is yet another perfect example of how blessed we are to serve as Law Enforcement Officers here in Brevard County.

Please join me in thanking Linda Hagen, Jeff and Betty Sirmans and Mark and Charity Lopeman for partnering with us to help enhance our K-9 kennels and for all they do to help support our agency.
