Titusville Police Find Man Floating Dead in Indian River Lagoon on Sunday

Titusville Police are investigating an apparent drowning death of a man that was found dead and floating in the Indian River Lagoon just off the shore near the 1200 block of Riverside Dr. in Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police are investigating an apparent drowning death of a local man that was found dead and floating in the Indian River Lagoon just off the shore near the 1200 block of Riverside Dr. in Titusville.

Police say the man was found dead around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim was seen by witnesses wading in waist deep water around 9 a.m.

The victim is described to be a white male, between 40 and 50-years-old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds, wearing blue jeans, green shirt and white & black Converse tennis shoes.

Police say the victim also had several arm tattoos and a tattoo on the left side of the chest spelling out the name “LISA”.

The victim’s body was recovered from the water by police and delivered to the medical examiner to determine his cause of death.

Detectives are requesting the public call the Titusville Police Department at 321-264-7800 with any information that could lead to the identity of the victim.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released upon its conclusion.
