WATCH: The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking Lakayla Jeanette Balser in the latest edition of “Fishing for Fugitives,” as Sheriff Wayne Ivey comes to you from a ditch off of Riverwalk Family Park in Rockledge.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking Lakayla Jeanette Balser in the latest edition of “Fishing for Fugitives,” as Sheriff Wayne Ivey comes to you from a ditch off of Riverwalk Family Park in Rockledge.

In this episode Sheriff Ivey is seeking Lakayla Jeanette Balser who is wanted for an outstanding warrant:

■ Bench Warrant Failure to Appear for Early Resolution REF Possession of Heroin

■ Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

■ Trespass in Structure or Conveyance

Sheriff Ivey said that Balser is known to be in the “waters of the Cocoa area” and was last “hooked” on September 24, 2020.

Balser has a $5,000 bond.

“If you’re the ‘Catch of the Day,’ you know what to do, turn yourself in and do the right thing – don’t make our Fugitive Unit come to get you. Because if you don’t turn yourself in, I promise you, they aren’t far from your house,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Let’s make the Space Coast a safer place to live by assisting the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of wanted fugitives, or in this case, the chance to “Hook ’em and Book ’em.”
