BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On behalf of the 1,600 proud men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Susan, Junny and I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas.

As we awaken to another beautiful Christmas Day and embrace the true meaning of love and faith with family and friends, it is also a time to reflect on just how many blessings life truly has to offer and also a time to help those less fortunate and in their time of need.

There is no question that this past year has presented some of the most significant challenges of our generation, but it has also presented far more opportunities for us to echo the miracles of life, love and hope.

During this difficult year, so many have sacrificed so much, yet we continue to be inspired to help and give.

I truly believe we have to look past the challenges and difficulties to find the miracles.

Our duty is to respond to the crisis, fear and uncertainty of our citizens with commitment and faith. While the pandemic may have impacted us in many ways as a world, as a nation, as a community, and as individuals, it also gave us the opportunity to find strength.

The strength and wisdom to set our differences aside and unite for a common cause, and above all else, to express our faith.

While there are many respective religions, beliefs and traditions of Christmas, the most treasured is faith!! To have faith that there is a better tomorrow and to have the courage to go find it. After all, the greatest gift we have is the faith to believe in each other.

On behalf of our entire agency we wish you and your families a very peaceful and happy holiday.

Merry Christmas!

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
