BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County weather forecast for Christmas calls morning showers, then sunny conditions, with a high near 66. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

A FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 9 A.M. SATURDAY MORNING.

Sub-freezing temperatures are as low as 31 expected, persisting for between 3 to 5 hours in north Brevard County from midnight tonight to 9 a.m. Saturday.

IMPACTS: Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Many home fires occur during cold weather episodes. Use extreme caution with space heaters, keeping the heater away from all material that may be combustible, such as pillows, blankets, and curtains.
