TALLAHASSEE – Over the course of the past two days, I was honored to help facilitate and provide training to 13 new Florida Sheriff’s that were elected to serve their communities during this past election cycle.

The training, that was hosted by the Florida Sheriff’s Association is attended by each new Sheriff prior to taking office in January as they prepare to serve their respective communities.

As the Chairman for the “Training Committee” of the Florida Sheriff’s Association, I was tasked with helping to facilitate the two-day training course and also personally instructing a block of training on “Community Policing and Community Outreach” which is vital to lowering our crime rate and protecting our citizens.

The training was a great opportunity for me to have a chance to interact with the newly elected Sheriffs and also to offer them some insight into serving as Sheriff and connecting with their communities.

I would like to personally congratulate each of the new Sheriffs as their start the next chapter of their careers and also thank the Florida Sheriff’s Association for hosting this extremely valuable training at their facility.
