BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Constance P. Prisco (Derosier), 79, passed away on December 21, 2020, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 10, 1941 in New Britain, CT and the daughter of Adolf and Antoinette Chamberlain.

In 1959, Connie graduated with Honors from Goodwin Technical High School, in New Britain, CT, from their Seamstress Program. She had a beautiful voice and sang at many local talent shows.

While attending Goodwin, she met the love of her life, Tony Prisco, at the age of 15. They married in 1959 and had three children, Ursula, Antoinette and Dominic.

She was a homemaker until they moved to Florida in 1985. Among several passions, she was a USTA ranked tennis player with her team winning the local tournament and advancing to the national playoffs in Arizona.

She eventually took a job at Burdines/Macy’s for 13 years and worked in various departments. She loved working with her clients and had a true passion for anything she set her mind to.

Anyone who knew Connie, knew that she loved animals. She and Tony were also members of the Merritt Island Moose Lodge where she and Tony would dance on Friday nights.

She has five grandchildren. Katie, Kevin, Chris, Rory and Karlyn. She and Tony were married for 57 years and resided in their dream home in Merritt Island overlooking the beautiful Banana River.

Connie had a beautiful heart, a dry sense of humor, and was always a lady of elegance. Throughout her life, there were many obstacles and she rose and conquered them all while maintaining poise and grace.

After losing her beloved Tony four years ago, and suffering from dementia, her understanding of the world changed and she grew her love and kindness 10-fold, making everyone around her smile with her newfound charm and wit. She will truly be missed by her family.
