Victim Identified as Titusville Resident in Deadly Shooting Over the Weekend at Forest Park Apartment Complex

Arthur Elbert Starks, 61, died in the deadly shooting

Titusville Police have released the identity of the shooting victim that died Sunday afternoon as 61-year-old Arthur Elbert Starks.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have released the identity of the shooting victim that died Sunday afternoon as 61-year-old Arthur Elbert Starks.

According to Titusville Police Public Information Officer Amy Matthews, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the parking area of the 500 block on Rock Pit Road in the Forest Park Apartment Complex.

“Officers secured the scene and located the gunshot victim inside of a maroon 2003 Saturn Ion sedan,” said Matthews.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was making repairs to the vehicle and was shot by an unknown suspect(s), who then fled the scene immediately after the incident.”

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 3:44 p.m.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
