BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office “Enforcers” Co-Ed Softball Team played against the “USA Patriots” Team at the USSSA Space Coast Stadium in Viera.

Also joining in on the action was the Co-Ed Team from Northrup Grumman who facilitated the games to help benefit the USA Patriots Team Charity, that supports those who have lost limbs in combat and also funds a softball camp for kids who have lost limbs early in their lives.

While playing in the game against the USA Patriots was a blast, it was also truly inspiring to watch the members of their team compete with prosthetic legs, missing arms and other significant injuries as a result of their time defending our great country and freedoms.

I stood in awe as I watched them compete with such amazing strength and positive attitude when they had faced such adversity on the battlefield.

The USA Patriots Softball Team represents a group of our bravest and most determined military veterans, who have sacrificed so much for our country and continue to inspire by teaching children that they can overcome their challenges and live their lives to the fullest!!

Please join me in thanking those who attended the games, the sponsors who made the event possible, USSSA Space Coast Stadium, the proud men and women of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office “Enforcers” Team who volunteered their time to take part in the game, and of course, the true American Heroes of the USA Patriots Softball Team for not only playing in the event, but for everything they have sacrificed for our Country!!
