Brevard Fire Rescue Honors Philip Litch Sr., Flies Flag Over 9-11 Memorial at Station 48

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Philip Litch Sr., a former resident of Viera and retired police officer from Lynn Massachusetts, was honored by Brevard County Fire Rescue.

Phil, who passed away at age 89 in August 2019, served in the U.S. Army and became a police officer for the City of Lynn. He became a Real Estate Broker after retiring from the police force and moving to Brevard County.

BCFR officials said that Phil no stranger to Brevard County Fire Rescue. Retiring to the Grand Isle Subdivision in Viera, he made many friends who wanted to honor his memory after he passed away.

Friends and family donated a U.S. flag to BCFR Station 48 to be flown for a short period of time in his memory.

“We are honored to have the memory of Mr. Litch flying high over the 9-11 memorial at our fire station,” said BCFR officials.
