Brevard Fire Rescue Responds to Airboat Crash in St. John’s River That Sends Juvenile to Hospital

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to a collision involving two airboats in the St John’s River, south of West Cocoa on Sunday afternoon.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue, a total of seven people were involved, with one juvenile transported to Orlando as a trauma alert, and the remaining victims refusing treatment or transport.

The scene is now under the control of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for the investigation.

Brevard County Fire Rescue expressed their appreciation to the private airboat that gave BCFR crews a ride to the crash scene to assess the remaining victims.
