OBITUARY: William Ian Stewart of Indialantic Passed Away January 25, Retired From Harris After 33 Years

BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA – William Ian Stewart “Bill” of Indialantic, Florida passed away on January 25, 2021, at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Born in Detroit, Michigan Bill and his wife found their forever home in Indialantic. He began working at Radiation in 1965 which eventually became Harris Corporation. He worked as an electrical/mechanical designer at Harris for 33 years until his retirement.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, 10th Mountain Division. He was active in the beach-side community coaching Indian Harbour Beach Little League Baseball and Midget Football, YMCA Indian Guides, a member of the Scottish American Society of Brevard and member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years Jeanette, brother Doug of Suntree, children Kevin (Terry) Stewart of Merritt Island, FL, Michelle (Scott) O’Keefe of Ft. Pierce, FL and Sharene (Eric) Kirby of New Bern, NC, grandchildren Casey, Kelly, Marina, Midori, Grace & Jake.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Jack & Elizabeth and son Ricky.
A memorial service will be held @ Eastminster Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 31,2021 @ 3:00 in the afternoon. The service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
