American Legion Post 117 is located at 189 Veterans Drive SE in Palm Bay

WATCH: A Car and Bike Show is underway from the American Legion Post 117, 189 Veterans Drive SE, in Palm Bay. Today’s event, which runs until approximately 6 p.m., is honoring the memory of SN Brandon Thurber, U.S. Navy, and supports Gold Star Mothers. The Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson are on hand for all of the activities.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This Saturday will be a special day for Tammy Thurber.

Tammy’s son, SN Brandon Thurber, U.S. Navy, who was tragically killed in an accident on November 10, 2018, will be honored at a Bike and Car Show at the American Legion Post 117 located at 189 Veterans Drive SE in Palm Bay.

The proceeds from the event will support Gold Star Mothers.

A Poker Run will kickoff the activities at the American Legion Post 117, with registration starting at 9 a.m., and departure at 10:30 a.m.

After multiple stops, the Poker Run will conclude at the American Legion.

Show cars will start rolling in at 11 a.m.  and there will be a special ceremony at 1 p.m., highlighted by the national anthem and a special flag dedication in honor of Brandon.

Along with the cars and bikes, there will be numerous activities throughout the day, including, music by Doc Holiday, 50/50 raffles, food and beverages, vendors, and much more.
