431 deaths reported in Brevard County for 2020

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The new Medfast Urgent Care Center located at 1532 N. Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, Florida is helping test for Covid-19 and providing a wide variety of urgent care services at its 13 locations all across the Space Coast.

Brevard County has reported a total 14,546 cases of COVID-19 in 2020 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 44 years of age, and 48 percent are male and 52 percent are female.

The current Brevard list includes 14,546 Florida residents and 104 non-residents.

Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 1,153. A total of 431 deaths have been reported in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County.

The Florida Department of Health reports 63,806 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Sunday’s report, 59,963 of those tests have come back negative.

The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 944,745 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state out of 11,740,720 tests done statewide which equates to a 7.93% positivity rate.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 18,085 as of Tuesday.

In the U.S., over 12,433,676 million confirmed cases have been reported and 258,172 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 59,401,413 million with 1,401,106 global deaths.
