WATCH: The third annual “Run for Responders 5K” was held in Cocoa Village Saturday evening and the Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson was there to cover all the action.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA VILLAGE, FLORIDA – The third annual “Run for Responders 5K” was held in Cocoa Village Saturday evening and the Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson was there to cover all the action.

Twelve year-old Zechariah Cartledge, who started the non-profit Running 4 Heroes Inc.
to raise awareness and funds for fallen First Responders, was among the runners.

Police and fire vehicles lined the course.

The event supported first responders and the race proceeds will benefit the Survive First organization that has a mission to assist first responders and families who need mental health support from the impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and substance abuse.
