Eastern Florida State Baseball Team Falls to Florida Southwestern at Bruce Bochy Field

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a non-conference game against Florida Southwestern Friday at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans got on the board first in the second inning as Lake Fisher homered for the second straight game.

Florida Southwestern would tie the game in the third inning on a solo home run and then hit a two-run home run in a three-run third to give the Bucs a 4-1 lead.

The Titans would cut into the lead in the sixth inning but could not get any closer.

Titans starter Tyler Vogel struck out nine in five innings, allowing four runs. Melvin Cotto tossed three shutout innings and Trey Felker pitched a scoreless ninth in the loss.

Fisher finished with three hits and drove in both runs while teammate RJ Diaz had two hits in the game. Eastern Florida State College fell to 6-8 on the season while Florida Southwestern is now 12-6.

The two teams will play at Florida Southwestern Saturday at 1 p.m.
