Eastern Florida State Softball Team Hosts First Home Game of 2021 Against Santa Fe College

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team will play at Titan Softball Complex for the first time this season on Saturday.
The Titans, who are 8-5 on the season, have won five of the last six including a pair of wins Tuesday afternoon against Seminole State College who was unbeaten, and No. 6 in the NJCAA Division I poll.
Eastern Florida State College will host Santa Fe College for a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon Santa Fe College comes into the matchup 4-3 on the season but has won its last four games.
Both teams top starting pitcher is among the best in the state as Eastern Florida will hand the ball to Trinity Howard who has six wins and 36 strikeouts in eight starts, both No. 1 in Region VIII.
The Saints’ Taylor Barrett has a 0.40 ERA in four starts this season, striking out 30 hitters.
Offensively the Saints are led by Cris’Deona Beasley who is hitting .571 in five games this season. Teammate Madison Dixon has driven in 10 runs for Santa Fe.
Titans sophomore Madison Neuhaus is among the state leaders in home runs with four this season with a team-best 10 RBI. Teammate Lauren Lightbody is hitting .415, playing in all 13 games.
The games are open to fans, but masks are required at all times while on campus and social distancing is required In the stands.
